1. Working principle

The bimetal thermometer is using two kinds of metals with different coefficients of linear expansion to wound into a spiral shape and used as a temperature sensing device. And install the bimetallic in a protective sleeve, when the temperature changes, the two metals have different thermal expansions, which in turn drives the pointer to deflect to indicate the temperature. It is suitable for temperature measurement when the accuracy requirement in industry is not high. As a temperature sensing element, the bimetallic can also be used for automatic temperature control.

2. Principle structure

The bimetallic thermometer uses thread-shaped thermal bimetallic strip in the sleeve as the temperature sensing device. One end is fixed, called fixed end. The other end is connected to a thin axis, called the free end. When the temperature changes, the free end of the temperature sensing device rotates, driving the pointer on the thin axis to indicate the corresponding temperature on the dial.

2) Accuracy: 1.5%; 1.0%

3) Thermal response time: ≤40S

4) Angle adjustment error: not exceed 1.0% of its range

5) Return difference: should not be greater than the absolute value of the basic error limit.

6) Repeatability: The repeatability limit range of the bimetal thermometer should be no more than 1/2 of the absolute value of the basic error limit.
