The pressure gauge may have some malfunctions during use. Blockage is one of them.

Blockage usually manifests itself as: There is pressure in storage tanks and pipelines, but the pressure gauge pointer doesn't move.

When troubleshooting, first remove the pressure gauge and install it on another pressure measuring site or calibration platform for testing. It was found that the pressure gauge pointer could rotate normally. This shows that the measuring function of the instrument is normal.

At this time, the valve may be clogged. We can further check the connecting parts of the pressure gauge. Slowly open the root valve, observe the root valve and connecting pipe. Once a blockage is discovered, it can be unclogged.

Reasons of blockage:

1) The measured medium is easy to solidify, crystallize, and become sticky, causing the valve to become clogged.

2) The on-site environment is humid and corrosive gases, causing the root valves to become rusty and clogged.

Precautions to take:

1) Use a diaphragm pressure gauge.

2) Use stainless steel material for root valves, etc.
